Chin augmentation

Augmentation of the chin is used to balance the profile.

A weak or recessive chin results affects the aesthetic profile of the face. As we age, the lower jaw ‘shrinks’ and we lose projection and definition of the chin. As a result the skin and tissue around the jaw becomes lax and sagging.

Another reason for a recessive chin is genetic. Dr Westwood offers chin filler (hyaluronic acid) augmentation to both those who want to improve their profile and those looking to achieve a more youthful appearance.

Volume can be added to the chin to increase both projection and length. A full facial assessment identifies the balance required and can also address any pre-existing asymmetries. Where appropriate, jawline augmentation is used to complement chin filler treatment with beautiful results.
